We will use the first day of classes - Monday, August 22 - as an opportunity to get to know each other. We will discuss plans for the year, expectations, calendar, etc.
Please plan to attend the class time of the choir for which you are currently enrolled: Concert Choir – 12:20 PM, University Singers – 2:30 PM. If you are in both choirs, come to the 2:30 meeting. If you are not yet enrolled in a choir, you may come to either session. Attendance will be taken.

Eric Whitacre's TED Talk
A few months ago, Eric Whitacre was a featured speaker at the annual TED Conference. He talked about how he got his start in classical music, and the evolution of the Virtual Choir. The talk also included a sneak preview of the latest virtual choir project ("Sleep") which made its full debut online a few weeks later. This is worth 14 minutes of your time.
