The Eastern Kentucky University Chamber Singers, Concert
Choir, University Singers, and Wind Ensemble will present “Bernstein at 100,”
celebrating the life and legacy of American conductor and composer Leonard
Bernstein on MONDAY, APRIL 30 at 7:30 PM at the EKU Center for the Arts. Music
to be performed includes Chichester Psalms, a medley from Candide, plus
music by Balmages, Brahms, Persichetti, and others. The choirs are under the
direction of Dr. Richard Waters, Director of Choral Activities, and graduate
conductor Michael B. Welch. The Wind Ensemble is under the direction of Dr.
Andrew Putnam, Director of Bands, guest conductor Dr. Nathan Siler, and
graduate conductor Patrick Belding. The concert is free and open to the public.
